This Lunar New Year was very special because I celebrated it in a way that felt authentic to me. I attended some festivities with my family and learned about Chinese tea and calligraphy. I got bubble tea and made dumplings with my sister.
I have two mothers: my mom (adopted mom) and my birth mom. When I interviewed my mom for a school project about her story of becoming a mother to 4 Chinese adoptee daughters, I thought about motherhood as an underlying theme in my life.
