Structure:

Adoptee Chats will be a 2 part session broken down into 45 minutes of structured discussion followed by 45 minutes of free form discussion facilitated by a CCI Board member. Chat topics for the guided discussion change on a month to month basis and range from themes such as mental health to Asian representation in the media. Of course, we welcome topics proposed by the community and do our best to cater to members’ needs. These sessions will be hosted monthly on Zoom with a target age group of 14+, although all are welcome.

Please Note:

CCI was founded as an adoptee organization for and led by adoptees. Fittingly so, it continues to support adoptee driven exploration such as research projects. However, we ask that all research endeavors be conducted through our outside announcements submission request form and NOT the chats themselves. 

We strive to make these chats as meaningful as possible and encourage members to fill out our Pre-Chat forms so we can continue to provide members with the best possible experience. Forms include feedback, requesting future topics, and general suggestions.
