Laura EK Hi, I'm Laura! When I was a baby, an exceptionally loving couple adopted me from Changsha, Hunan, China. Growing up as an adoptee in a multiracial family has had an enormous influence on almost every aspect of my life, in both positive and challenging ways. The goal of my channel is to provide a resource for anyone who could benefit from hearing my stories and perspectives as I continue to navigate cultural identity and individuality as an adult. Whether you're looking for someone to relate to, create a discussion with, or to just learn about a different life experience than your own, I appreciate you stopping by and I hope you enjoy my videos!! (:
LillyFei You may have known me as AdopteeLilly. This is my adoption story! I was adopted from China in 1994 and raised by a white family. Adoption can be really complex and confusing, sometimes. When it comes to transracial adoption, many adoptees don't know how to navigate the world and many parents don't know how to support their children of a different race. I share my experiences as a Chinese, transracial adoptee in an effort to inform the general public about adoption as well as connect with adoptees and remind them that we are not alone. I also share weekly vlogs to bring you into my daily life as a woman of color, animal lover, and PhD candidate.
