Mission
Founded in 2014, KAIAN aims to connect adult Korean adoptees in Australia with each other, the international Korean adoptee network, and broader Korean Australian community.
We are a group with unique cultural identities and experiences. We aim to empower the voices of Australian Korean adoptees and share the unique experiences of intercountry adoption in Australia.
We also foster networks amongst our members and wider community through educational, cultural, and social events.
-
KAIAN has a core committee made up of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and general committee member roles that are typically State representatives. In the next 12 months we will look to update our constitution to more clearly define organisational purposes and our membership model.

We don't have a financial membership model and events/activities are generally run on a grant-basis. They are generally "lighter" types of events like P2P community networking and Korean cultural experiences. We're currently working on a Korean language program with a Korean school, exclusively for Korean adoptees only.
