Join Our Team

China’s Children International is currently recruiting for our 2024-2025 Executive Board (August 1, 2024-July 31, 2025)! Come join one of the first organizations created by and for adult Chinese adoptees to explore identity and get involved in the adult Chinese adoptee community. Gain transferable skills such as oral and written communication, project management, collaboration across units, and critical analysis and problem solving and add hands-on experience in a growing non-profit and community organization to your resume.

Through the leadership structure of the board, committees, and consultants, our team runs both CCI’s macro and day-to-day operations. As a board member, a committee member, or a consultant, you would join a team of fun, hardworking, and passionate group of adult Chinese adoptees, primarily based in the United States, that works both on the strategic and logistical side to set direction and strategy for the future of our growing Chinese adoptee community and host numerous programs and community spaces for the organization.

From their respective locations, volunteers meet virtually to work together to uphold CCI’s mission statement, bylaws, and values and to ensure the organization’s long-term sustainability.

As always, CCI is proud to be 100% run by Chinese adult adoptee volunteers.

Board Members vs. Committee Members

Both Board and Committee are valuable members of the overall CCI leadership team. The primary difference between the two lies in the fact that Board members are voting members and are required to attend monthly meetings. Committee members are non-voting members and their primary point of contact is a board member or team.

This is the official application to join China's Children International Executive Board for the 2024-2025 term. Interviews will take place on a rolling basis between June 19 - July 13. An email will be sent with a When2Meet for you to fill out, and interviews will be scheduled based on your response and the availability of the interviewers.
